Haha, bought these air fresheners for my cousin. :p Thought they were pretty amusing to see hanging in someone’s car, or something.

June 26th - A&F in Ginza review

So after my friend told me about how odd the A&F in Japan is, I decided to check it out myself.

And wow…“odd” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

It’s about, what…8 floors!? And my friend and I took the stairs for all of it, LOL.

When you enter, the greeters (there were two) said, “Hey, how’s it?” to you, which I silently laughed at. Most of the people there we hapa…and there were some really attractive guys there. One of the greeters looked like Jonghyun from SHINee.

There were way more workers in those 8 floors than there were customers…so many of them were just standing around. At one point, with the typical A&F music blaring from the speakers, two of the workers did this little dance…jig, thing. Like you would if you walked casually into a club you’ve never been in and you’re trying to not look too awkward. : | <- doesn’t know how to describe it.

And the paintings on the walls by the stairs were really…manly? Shirtless buff white guys in only their underwear doing various things…skiing, lifting weights, posing in odd positions. So very strange. XD

We walked all the way to the top (and no sales racks! :< Though they don’t do many day-to-day sales here, especially in larger companies like A&F.) and decided to take the elevator back down. The elevator each has a worker in it too, who acts like a bellhop of sorts, asking what floor you want to go to and then makes small talk to you.
He asked us (in Japanese of course) if it was our first time here, and we told him it was. I guess we looked very shocked at the entire place, because he then commented about how the first time people come in, it’s always a bit surprising for them. LOL. 本当にビックリした〜

So yeah! It was interesting to say the least. The workers were very hot, the atmosphere of the store was kind of odd…but other than that it was pretty much the same. Same dark feel to the store, dimly lit, same prices, same strong smell… haha~ :p

Sorry it’s taking so long to upload pics and such! :<
Here’s some weird engrish I found to give you guys something to look at..!

Brackbird, fry ~

Someone was playing the guitar and singing “Blackbird” cover near this famous river in Shijo, Kyoto. (The name of the river escapes me right now…)

His Engrish was adorable. XD

Apparently this river is quite well-known to the younger folk, though. There were a lot of nihonjin just hanging out, chatting, and drinking. There were also quite a bit of gaijin there too!

They broadcast Music Bank in Japan!?

ohmygod awesome. <33

Watching Music Bank right now. ^ __ ^ Music Bank for those who don’t know, is a Korean show where the popular groups/artists perform in a mini music competition-like program.

Since it’s being broadcasted in Japan, the Korean lyrics are shown on the left and the Japanese translation to the right.

Fff~ fangirlin’ out right now LOL.

Day 3: Nara / Kiyomizu Temple

LOL they have ads for the shake weight in Japan too!

Ohh my~

Day 5 & 6

Day 5; went to this REALLY GOOD katsu place in Ginza — Genyatsu. They make the katsu with 24 layers of katsu strips, and you can add your own topping that is put in the middle of your katsu. I chose cheese flavor, so I had cheese in my chicken katsu. It was amazing.

Later went to Osuya — a small shop in Ginza that sells different flavors of vinegar. It’s supposed to be good for your health, and was quite tasty, so I bought some for my dad and mom. :D

Day 6; Hit up Akihabara! Bought some things and completely nerded out. Awwyeah.

Then went to Omotesando where my friend and I shopped a little. My friend bought some things at a store called Hiromichi. It sold mens clothes and I really, really liked them. X3 I wanted to buy clothes from there for my next boyfriend and make him wear it for me. LOL.

Then hit up the Ginza Ice Bar! :D Got lost trying to find it though, so I called them up and asked them for directions in Japanese. She told me how to get there (in Japanese), and I could understand was she was saying! Haha, I am quite proud of myself in this regard, seeing as I couldn’t understand anything the first time I was here back in 2009. :’) Maybe my Japanese is getting better..!?
The Ice Bar was pretty amazing though!! You got this jacket thing and walked into a room that was made entirely out of ice (except for the floor, for good reason :p)!! Even the cups we got for the drinks were made of ice! It was pretty amazing.

I will edit and post pictures up soon! Sorry for the delay…been pretty busy :3

Friend said Abercrombie & Fitch store (the only one in Japan) greets you with, “Hey, howzit?” and the people who work there…dance… : |

She said it was really weird, and they looked stupid dancing LOL. Essentially, it scared her and her friends out of the shop XD!
